dc.description	O objetivo deste trabalho é entender as modificações e adequações internas e externas constatadas nas práticas de oleiros e de mamulengueiros pernambucanos, sendo as práticas do atual guardião do maracatu Leão Coroado detentora de um maior destaque, por ser este último eleito como patrimônio vivo sem a necessidade de concurso. O fio condutor principal da análise gira em torno da mudança do conceito de patrimônio ao longo da história e de como esta mudança propiciou que não só objetos, mas também pessoas sejam patrimonializadas. As modificações estudadas se ativeram ao período de quando a pessoa e ou grupo torna-se patrimônio vivo. O Leão torna-se Patrimônio Vivo de Pernambuco, em 2002, sendo eleito por aclamação, ou seja, sem a necessidade de submeter-se ao concurso em si, caso de todos os escolhidos posteriormente ao ano de 2002. Política pública de vanguarda, a LPV desde a sua criação tenta, por meio do registro de pessoas e grupos, corresponder às expectativas globais, notadamente da UNESCO, de assegurar a manutenção de saberes, práticas, e, sobretudo, na passagem de conhecimentos tradicionais, atendendo assim, aos anseios do que a própria LPV preconiza. O método adotado foi a etnografia clássica realizada na sede do Leão e com outros envolvidos no processo de escolha dos patrimônios vivos pernambucanos.
dc.description	The objective of this work is to understand the internal and external modifications and adaptations observed in the pottery and mamulengo practices in the state of Pernambuco. The practices of the current guardian of the Maracatu Leão Coroado are more prominent, since it has been elected living heritage without the need of competition. The main thread of the analysis revolves around the change in the concept of heritage throughout history and how this change allowed not only objects, but also people to be considered heritage. The changes studied were related to the period when the person and / or group became living heritage. The Maracatu Leão Coroado became living heritage of the state of Pernambuco in 2002, being elected by acclamation, that is, without the need to submit to the contest itself, differently from all those chosen after the year of 2002. At the forefront of public policy, the LPV has tried to meet the global expectations, especially of UNESCO, since its creation, through the registration of individuals and groups, in order to ensure the maintenance of knowledge, practices and, above all, the continuation of traditional knowledge. Such attempt fulfills the expectations of the LPV itself. The method adopted was the classical ethnography held at the headquarters of Maracatu Leão Coroado along with others involved in the process of choosing the living heritage in the state of Pernambuco.
