dc.description	In this brief commentary to Advisory Opinion OC-25/18, issued at the request of the República del Ecuador, we argue that, given the extent to which the Inter-American Court recognizes the extraterritorial effects that the State derives from its commitment to the principle of non-refoulement, the diplomatic asylum institute is somehow overtaken by the doctrine of the extraterritorial effectiveness of human rights.	en-US
