dc.description	Entre 1808 y 1816 –es decir, el tiempo comprendido entre el adjuramiento y deslealtad al rey de España; la deposición de las autoridades virreinales en toda la Nueva Granada y la reactivación del ejército de restauración o expedicionario del rey– los miembros de los cabildos en las ciudades principales se opusieron a la continuidad de la autoridad de España, redactando una decena de textos de declaraciones de independencia y constituciones con el fin de anclar una confederación de pequeños Estados o nuevos gobiernos provinciales e impedir, así, el avance de la recuperación militar del Reino por parte de los expedicionarios y el resurgimiento de la tiranía en el Reino. Con la declaratoria de independencia de la provincia de Popayán, las acciones intelectuales y políticas del segmento autonómico del Cabildo de la ciudad y la redacción de un manuscrito de constitución política para la provincia, se amplió en la Nueva Granada la avanzada constitucionalista. Su interés primordial, en tres actos, fue redactar un texto inaugural, fortalecer la unión de estados confederados y fundar un gobierno constitucional autónomo que disolviera los lazos con el cuerpo político español. Esta compleja dinámica, obstaculizada por la reconquista española, es la que se describe en este artículo.	es-ES

His primary interest in three acts was to write an inaugural text, to strengthen the union of Confederate States and to establish an autonomous constitutional government that would dissolve ties with the Spanish political body.
