A partir da classificação proposta por Danilo Martuccelli da tradição sociológica face a uma construção de uma nova agenda de pesquisa, a chamada Sociologia do Indivíduo oferece insights importantes para pensar a sociologia como um todo. Neste artigo, trato de duas tradições distintas para exemplificar os desafios e possibilidades dessa nova agenda teórico-metodológica da Sociologia. Por um lado, trago as contribuições da sociologia de Norbert Elias e, por outro, do diagnóstico de tempo de Beck e Beck-Gernsheim. Ao fim, proponho uma breve e sucinta problematização para se pensar a Sociologia do Indivíduo num cenário de modernidade periférica. From the classification proposed by Danilo Martuccelli of the sociological tradition in the sense of building a new research agenda, the so-called Sociology of the Individual offers important insights to think about sociology as a whole. In this article, I treat two distinct traditions to exemplify the challenges and possibilities of this new theoretical-methodological agenda of Sociology. On the one hand, I bring the contributions of Norbert Elias's sociology and, on the other hand, Beck and Beck-Gernsheim’s time diagnosis. In the end, I propose a brief succinct problem to think of the Sociology of the Individual in a scenario of peripheral modernity.
