| dc.description | O presente artigo tem por objetivo explanar a evolução vivenciada no Brasil acerca do Acolhimento Institucional para crianças e adolescentes, em especial enfocaremos o avanço na legislação vigente, desde a Constituição Federal de 1988 até os dias atuais - com ênfase no Estatuto da Criança e do Adolescente de 1990, o qual representou um divisor de águas, no tocante a garantia de proteção aos infantes.
