dc.description	O ensino de Sociologia foi alvo de diversos embates curriculares e políticos que justificaram, ao longo do século XX, a alternância entre períodos de total presença, de presença parcial e de total ausência da disciplina no currículo do Ensino Médio (durante muito tempo, chamado de Ensino Secundário). Considerando que por trás desses embates havia uma série de argumentos políticos e/ou corporativos que influenciaram esta situação, tentaremos nesse artigo, através de uma análise bibliográfica comparada, delinear a situação da disciplina Sociologia no currículo do Ensino Médio durante as diferentes reformas educacionais implantadas no país desde os seus primórdios até os dias atuais, com a aprovação da Lei 11.684 de 2008 que tornou, finalmente, obrigatória a presença dessa disciplina no currículo de todas as escolas brasileiras.	pt-BR
dc.description	The teaching of Sociology has been the subject of several disciplines, included in curricula and policies that justified, throughout the twentieth century, alternations between periods of total presence, partial presence and total absence of it in Brazil's educationa. These documents incorporate a number of political and corporate discutions tha influenced the intermittence of sociology in brazilian education. In this paper we attempt, through a comparative bibliographical analysis, to describe the situation of Sociology in brazilian schools until the present day, with the provision of Law 11,684 of 2008, when it finally became a mandatory subject in the curriculum in brazilian education.	en-US
