| dc.description | This study focused on the School Boards of the municipality of Altamira, located in western Pará The same was carried out from August 2008 to December 2009, carried out in two schools in the municipal schools. Aimed to critically analyze policy implementation and the functioning of school boards in that period. His purpose was to answer four basic questions: first, the relationship of strength and power waged between the School Boards and school principals, second, the actual contribution of School Councils in strengthening popular participation and, third, the difficulties faced by the directors at their practical action; fourth, the extent to which the school Board participate effectively in decision-making processes of the school. This is a qualitative study using as investigative tools: interviews, semi-structured questionnaires and visits in the environments investigated in order to understand to what extent the School Board contributes to the democratic management of the school. We tried to see, yet the level of participation of the School Board in decision making in schools, considering the difficulties faced in the development of the proposed activities. | en-US |
| dc.description | Este estudo tomou como objeto os Conselhos Escolares do município de Altamira, situado na região Oeste do Pará. O mesmo transcorreu no período de agosto de 2008 a dezembro de 2009, realizado em duas escolas da rede municipal de ensino. Teve o propósito de analisar criticamente a política de implementação e o modo de funcionamento dos conselhos escolares no referido período. Seu intento foi responder a quatro questões básicas: primeira, a relação de força e poder travada entre os Conselhos Escolares e os diretores escolares; segunda, a contribuição real dos Conselhos Escolares no fortalecimento e participação popular; terceira, as dificuldades enfrentadas pelos conselheiros em sua ação prática; quarta, em que medida o Conselho Escolar participa efetivamente nos processos decisórios da escola. Trata-se de um estudo qualitativo utilizando como instrumentos investigativos: entrevistas, questionários semi-estruturados e visitas nos ambientes investigados, no intuito de compreender em que medida o Conselho Escolar contribui na gestão democrática da escola. Procurou-se verificar, ainda, o nível de participação do Conselho Escolar nos processos decisórios das escolas, considerando as dificuldades enfrentadas no desenvolvimento das atividades propostas. | pt-BR |
