| dc.description | The humanities constitute a training course that has historically been implemented in the country’s universities, contributing to continuous metaanalysis of social, political, economic and cultural phenomena from interdisciplinary approaches, not only as a fundamental part of the institutional educational projects of each institution. , but rather as platforms for approaching debates and discussion around issues and associated problems that affect the reality of the different communities from a territorial perspective. However, the influx of the capitalist market, globalization and the international conditions for the production of new products demanded by the markets, has caused in some regions of the continent, including Colombia, the tendency to close related programs. At least two consequences follow from the situation in question; The first is that according to the statistics of entities such as DANE and the Labor Observatory of the universities, there are significantly low expectations regarding what a humanities career can contribute to the realization of the life project of citizens; and the second aspect is the weakening of a critical thinking that permeates the realities beyond the preparation of professionals for the reproduction of the hegemonic system, and seeks strategies to transform the context as an ethical-political requirement, a task in which the humanities have much to contribute. | en-US |
| dc.description | Las humanidades constituyen un derrotero de formación que históricamente han sido implementadas en las universidades del país contribuyendo a realizar continuos meta análisis de los fenómenos sociales, políticos, económicos y culturales desde enfoques interdisciplinarios, no solo como parte fundamental de los proyectos educativos de cada institución, sino como plataformas para el abordaje de debates y discusión en torno a temas y problemas asociados que afectan la realidad de las distintas comunidades desde una perspectiva territorial. No obstante, el influjo del mercado capitalista, la globalización y las condiciones internacionales de producción de nuevos productos que exigen los mercados, ha provocado en algunas regiones del continente, incluida Colombia, la tendencia a cerrar programas afines. Al menos dos consecuencias se derivan de la situación en cuestión; la primera es que de acuerdo con las estadísticas de entidades como el DANE y el Observatorio Laboral de las universidades, existen expectativas significativamente bajas con respecto a lo que puede aportar una carrera de humanidades en la realización del proyecto de vida de los ciudadanos; y el segundo aspecto es el debilitamiento de un pensamiento crítico que permea las realidades más allá de la preparación de los profesionales para la reproducción del sistema hegemónico, y busque estrategias de transformación del contexto como una exigencia ético-política, tarea en la cual las humanidades tienen mucho que aportar. | es-ES |
