The investigation analyzes the habitability of the Cathedral of San José de Cúcuta, this research product is generated whose methodological design raises a descriptive approach, under the conception of Careri who proposes the physical construction of the architectural space from the routes. The implementation of the Voronoi diagram as a chosen tool through its representation in the Euclidean plane, allowed the study with a series of digital and physical experiments, which raised a direct questioning of the architectural space, representing three dimensionally its proximity relationships, the borders between various objects, and the characterization of the different areas of the cathedral in the understanding of the ways of inhabiting, touring, observing the narrative sequences, for the consolidation of polygons that constitute the sacred space.El objetivo de la investigación es analizar la habitabilidad de la catedral de San José de Cúcuta. El diseño metodológico plantea un enfoque de tipo descriptivo, bajo la concepción de Careri quien propone la construcción física del espacio arquitectónico a partir de los recorridos. La implementación del diagrama de Voronoi como herramienta elegida a través de su representación en el plano euclídeo, permitió el estudio con una serie de experimentos digitales y físicos, los cuales plantearon un cuestionamiento directo del espacio arquitectónico, representadas tridimensionalmente sus relaciones de proximidad, las fronteras entre varios objetos, y la caracterización de las diferentes zonas de la catedral en la comprensión de los modos de habitar, recorrer, observar las secuencias narrativas, para la consolidación de polígonos que constituyen el espacio sagrado.
