| dc.description | This article presents the two main currents in anthropology that also mark the two ways of understanding man and his ethical relationships with the world and with others: the one that highlights the autonomous and independent character of man and the one that accentuates his dimension relational or dialogical and dependent on the other. A phenomenological description of compassion is made from the story of the parable of the Good Samaritan. The concept of compassion is exposed as welcoming the other and an ethical commitment to liberate the structures that generate dependency and marginalization, not as charitable assistance or specific charity. The article defends ethics as a concrete response to the other in their situation of need; response based only on the need of the other, not on obedience to the moral codes established in society. The author claims the need to "think again", build a "new way" of thinking that accounts for the human being in all its reality, and makes possible the meeting of the two "souls" of Western culture: Hellenic and The Jewish. | en-US |
| dc.description | En este artículo se exponen las dos grandes corrientes en la antropología que marcan también las dos formas de entender al hombre y sus relaciones éticas con el mundo y con los demás: la que resalta el carácter autónomo en independiente del hombre y la que acentúa su dimensión relacional o dialógica y de dependencia del otro. Se hace una descripción fenomenológica de la compasión a partir del relato de la parábola del buen samaritano. Se expone el concepto de compasión como acogida al otro y compromiso ético de liberación de las estructuras que generan dependencia y marginación, no como asistencia caritativa o beneficencia puntual. El artículo defiende la ética como respuesta concreta al otro en su situación de necesidad; respuesta fundada solo en la necesidad del otro, no en la obediencia a los códigos morales establecidos en la sociedad. El autor reclama la necesidad de “pensarnos de nuevo”, construir una “nueva forma” de pensar que dé cuenta del ser humano en toda su realidad, y haga posible el encuentro de las dos “almas” de la cultura occidental: la helénica y la judía. | es-ES |
