| dc.description | This article reports the results of a study which aimed to characterize the ICT tools used to communicate with parents and teachers in the official educational institutions of the city of Duitama-Boyacá. The research was carried out through an exploratory and descriptive quantitative approach, where a self-administered survey was implemented to collect data from the study population, made up of 405 parents and 149 teachers. As a result of the study, the traditional media and the ICT media that teachers and parents use to deal with school issues were identified. Likewise, a comparison was made between these results and the basic indicators of ICT tenure and use reported by the National Administrative Department of Statistics - DANE in 2019. It is concluded that thanks to the characterization and analysis carried out on the use and access of ICTs by the study population, it is evident that the official educational institutions of Duitama have the conditions to implement ICT-mediated strategies to strengthen communication between parents and teachers. | en-US |
| dc.description | En este artículo se reportan los resultados de un estudio el cual tuvo por objeto caracterizar las herramientas TIC que emplean para comunicarse los padres de familia y docentes en las instituciones educativas oficiales de la ciudad de Duitama-Boyacá. La investigación se desarrolló a través del enfoque cuantitativo de tipo exploratorio y descriptivo, en donde se implementó una encuesta autoadministrada para recopilar datos a la población objeto de estudio, conformada por 405 padres de familia y 149 docentes. Como resultado del estudio se identificaron los medios de comunicación tradicionales y los mediados por TIC que emplean los docentes y padres de familia para tratar asuntos escolares. Igualmente, se realizó una comparación entre dichos resultados y los indicadores básicos de tenencia y uso de las TIC reportados por el Departamento Administrativo Nacional de Estadística - DANE en el 2019. Se concluye que gracias a la caracterización y al análisis realizado sobre el uso y acceso de las TIC por parte de la población de estudio, se evidenció que las instituciones educativas oficiales de Duitama cuentan con las condiciones para implementar estrategias mediadas por TIC en el fortalecimiento de la comunicación entre padres de familia y docentes. | es-ES |
