| dc.description | This reflection article aimed to review the benefits that ICT can offer in this era of coronavirus (covid 19) in areas such as remote education with emphasis on foreign languages (LE). To this end, a documentary investigation of ICTs and their use in the LE classroom was carried out. This study is also a qualitative research of descriptive type. The results of this study included the fact that most of the studies consulted stressed that the use of Virtual Learning Environments facilitated the teaching of foreign languages because they allowed the teacher to accompany the student during the learning process, even at a distance. Since the student could access different interactive activities with teachers and other students, thus developing communication skills such as text production and comprehension, oral expression, among others. | dc.description | El presente artículo de reflexión tuvo como objetivo revisar los beneficios que las TIC´S pueden ofrecer en esta época de coronavirus (covid 19) en áreas como la educación remota con énfasis en lenguas extranjeras (LE). Para ello, se realizó una investigación documental de las TICS y su empleo en el aula de LE. Así mismo, este estudio es una investigación cualitativa de tipo descriptiva. Entre los resultados estuvo que, en su mayoría, los estudios consultados resaltaban que el empleo de los Ambientes Virtuales de Aprendizaje, facilitaban la enseñanza de LE porque le permitían al docente acompañar al estudiante durante su proceso de aprendizaje, especialmente en la distancia. Puesto que el estudiante podía acceder a distintas actividades interactivas con docentes y otros estudiantes, desarrollando así competencias comunicativas como la producción y la comprensión de texto, la expresión oral, entre otras. Igualmente, se afirma que estos hallazgos requieren de un mayor estudio y acercamiento por parte de la academia. | es-ES |
