| dc.description | The author reflects on the consequences of covid-19 for education. He summarizes them in an education in responsibility for others and for the environment. Without the bonds of responsibility that unite us to the other, there is no human being; neither is there a society. The other is part of me as a question and as an answer. But responsibility does not end with the other; the environment, the common home, also demands rights, recognition as a valuable asset in itself. We need a universal ethic that encompasses all forms of life in which human life is integrated in full harmony with other forms of life. Building a new society is the task of the whole tribe, not just the educational system. | en-US |

Las resume en una educación en la responsabilidad para con los otros y con el medio ambiente. Sin los lazos de responsabilidad que nos unen al otro, no existe el ser humano; tampoco la sociedad. El otro forma parte de mí como pregunta y como respuesta. Pero la responsabilidad no acaba en el otro, también el medio ambiente, la casa común, reclama unos derechos, un reconocimiento como un bien valioso en sí mismo. Se hace necesaria una ética universal que abarque todas las formas de vida en que la vida humana se integre en plena armonía con las otras formas de vida.
