| dc.description | At present, the challenge of medical students is to develop skills in the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), and these challenges are not only applicable to modern techniques offered largely in the specialties of research profile Objective: health is currently developing skills in the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) and it was evidenced in students of the ESPOCH Medical Degree. Methods: a descriptive study was conducted to determine the group of students in the management of ICTs through random sampling, selecting 93 students, 61 female and 32 male. Results: 97.85% (n = 91) students have a smartphone, while 2.15% (n = 2) do not have smartphones, but use other mobile devices in the event that you want to install and manage health applications. Of all the study elements, limitedly 2.86% (n = 2) regularly use applications for health. Conclusion: the constant evolution of mobile technologies and health-oriented applications can be seen that there is a low tendency to use this type of applications due to lack of knowledge of them. | en-US |
| dc.description | En la actualidad el reto de los estudiantes de medicina es desarrollar destrezas en el uso de las Tecnologías de la Información y la Comunicaciones (TIC), desafíos estos aplicables no solo a las modernas técnicas ofrecidas en gran medida en las especialidades de perfil investigativo. Sirve el propósito de desarrollar habilidades en el uso de las Tecnologías de la Información y la Comunicaciones (TIC) en estudiantes de la Carrera de Medicina de la ESPOCH. Se realizó un estudio descriptivo para determinar el grupo de estudiantes en el manejo de las TICs a través de un muestreo aleatorio, seleccionando a 93 estudiantes, 61 de sexo femenino y 32 del sexo masculino. Como resultado, el 97.85% (n = 91) estudiantes tiene un teléfono inteligente, mientras que el 2.15% (n = 2) no posee estos pero utiliza otros dispositivos móviles en el caso de que instalar y manejar aplicaciones de salud. De todos los elementos de estudio, limitadamente el 2,86% (n = 2) utiliza con regularidad aplicaciones destinadas al área de la salud. Se concluye que la constante evolución de las tecnologías móviles y aplicaciones orientadas a la salud permite comprobar que existe una baja tendencia al uso de este tipo de aplicaciones debido a la falta de conocimiento de las mismas. | es-ES |
