| dc.description | It has been noticed that actions taken in recent years did not succeed to reduce inequalities, especially the economic and the social ones. According to the OXFAM report, between 1980 and 2016, while the richest 1% accounted for 27% of global income growth, the poorest half of the world stood at 13%. From this level of inequality, global economy should be 175 times greater to allow everyone to earn more than U$ 5 (€ 4.00) a day, the analysis concluded. Despite success achieved in some countries, this provides a picture of the drama, since everything done to tackle inequality has been somewhat insignificant, as global numbers prove. In this article, the precepts of the reconstructive hermeneutic methodology were followed so that by means of constructions and reconstructions, through an extensive bibliographical research, one could find the elements that should set a minimal cognitive formation. There were 10 elements that constitute what was called the Power of the Human, which configures this potential for confrontation. | dc.description | Nos últimos anos, todas as ações para diminuir as desigualdades não obtiveram êxito. Segundo o informe de OXFAM, entre 1980 a 2016, enquanto os 1% mais ricos ficaram com 27% do crescimento da renda global, a metade mais pobre do mundo ficou com 13%. A partir desse nível de desigualdade, a economia do planeta precisaria ser 175 vezes maior para permitir que todos ganhassem mais de 5 dólares (4 euros) por dia, concluiu a análise. Apesar de alguns êxitos localizados de alguns países, isso sintetiza o quadro de dramaticidade, pois tudo quanto tem sido feito para seu combate, acabou sendo, de certo modo, inócuo, conforme os números globais comprovam. Nesse artigo, seguiu-se os preceitos da metodologia hermenêutica reconstrutiva de modo que, por meio de construções e reconstruções, e através de uma ampla pesquisa bibliográfica, se encontrasse os elementos que deveriam compor uma formação cognitiva mínima. Chegou-se a 10 elementos que se constitui no que se denominou de Potência do Humano, a qual configura essa potencialidade de enfrentamento.
