| dc.description | Surprisingly positive have been the changes introduced in the Ecuadorian university in the last seven years, first and foremost, due to the priority given to scientific research as a unifying agent of knowledge and contemporary development. However, there are important flaws that undermine the fundamental purpose of didactic work in this area. The article exposes the experience of the authors as advisors of 137 undergraduate and master theses from 64 national universities, from their daily work with the students and a personal interview at the end of the exercise. Among the main conclusions is that the processes of teaching scientific research in the undergraduate do not prioritize the formative research, so that when obtaining their corresponding professional title, the already professionals, do not remain motivated with this activity in breach of the main objective of the research subject for this academic stage. | en-US |
| dc.description | Sorprendentemente positivos han sido los cambios introducidos en la universidad ecuatoriana en los últimos siete años, ante todo por la prioridad dada a la investigación científica como agente aglutinador del conocimiento y del desarrollo contemporáneo. No obstante, existen falencias importantes que atentan contra el propósito fundamental del trabajo didáctico en esta área. El artículo expone la experiencia de los autores como asesores de 137 tesis de grado y maestría provenientes de 64 universidades nacionales, a partir de su trabajo diario con los estudiantes y una entrevista personal al terminar el ejercicio. Dentro de las principales conclusiones se señala que los procesos de enseñanza de la investigación científica en el pregrado no priorizan la investigación formativa, por lo que al obtener su título profesional correspondiente, los ya profesionales, no permanecen motivados con dicha actividad incumpliéndose el principal objetivo de la materia de investigaciones para esta etapa académica. | es-ES |
