Through a descriptive study it was intended to know the relationship between attitude and resistance to change presented by teachers with the use of information technology andcommunication within the processes of educational innovation. The sample consisted of 179 teachers (116 full-time teachers, 20 part-time teachers and 43 teaching staff) at the University Institute of Peace in Barrancabermeja, Colombia. The results reflect how the attitude and resistance to change variables on the part of teachers directly influence the development ofICTs. Finally, some recommendations based on the results are discussed.Mediante un estudio de tipo descriptivo se pretendió conocer la relación existente entre la actitud y la resistencia al cambio presentada por los docentes con el uso de las tecnologías de la información y comunicación dentro de los procesos de innovación educativa. La muestra estuvo compuesta por 179 docentes (116 docentes tiempo completo, 20 docentes medio tiempo y 43 docentes hora cátedra) en el Instituto Universitario de la Paz en Barrancabermeja, Colombia. Los resultados reflejan como las variables actitud y resistencia al cambio por parte de los docentes influyen de forma directa en el desarrollo de las TIC´s. Finalmente, se discuten algunas recomendaciones basadas en los resultados.
