dc.description	To a great extent, the crisis that the West is experiencing is usually manifested in a key institution, interested in the formation of subjects. This institution is the school, in it the conflicts of culture, of the economy, of politics, of ethics aremanifested, in short, what is the western subject. In this direction, Martha C. Nussbaum focuses her analysis on this in two of her books. One: The cultivation of humanity. A classic defense of the reform in liberal education. The other: Non-profitwhy democracy needs the humanities, in which it sets its position in defense of the education ofthe educating subject, as a world citizen from the teaching and cultivation of the humanities, in the face of a ruthless and commercialized education of the moment. The purpose of this chapter focuses its reflection on the ethical and humanistic attitude of Nussbaum.	en-US
dc.description	En gran medida la crisis que vive Occidente se manifiesta por lo regular en una institución clave, Interesada en la formación de los sujetos. Esta institución es la escuela. En esta se manifestan los conflictos de la cultura, de la economía, de  la política, de la ética, en síntesis lo que es el sujeto occidental. En esta dirección, Martha C. Nussbaum centra su análisis al respecto en dos libros suyos. Uno: El cultivo de la humanidad. Una defensa clásica de la reforma en la educación liberal. El otro: Sin fines de lucro por qué la democracia necesita de las humanidades, en los que fija su postura en defensa de la formación del sujeto educando, como ciudadano mundial a partir de la enseñanza y cultivo de las humanidades, frente a una despiadada y mercantilizada educación del momento. El objeto del presente capítulo centra su reflexión en torno a la actitud ética y humanista de Nussbaum.	es-ES
