dc.description	From different shades, Wayuu culture, is the defense of the tradition of moral, spiritual and ethical values, which are transmitted from generation to generation by their elders and uncles. This is why all cultural realities have a formalized symbolic content. Each people has a certain way of formalizing reality, expressed in language, clothing and religion.   The Wayuu family at a social level has a complex structure, its matrilineal and clanic character, preserve its own territory and totemic animal, traditional authority persist, there exists between them a specific form of administering justice, characterized by the figure of the Word (Putchipu). Recognized by UNESCO, as an intangible heritage of humanity, bearers of the word, help resolve conflicts between clans. Within the Wayuu family, the authority is represented by the maternal uncle, who is involved in family and domestic problems. Within the family, the woman plays an important role, she is the leader and organizer of the clan, they are politically very active in their society, they are independent in their decision making at the level of their culture. However, today they are threatened by the proliferation of factors of high socio-cultural risks.	en-US
dc.description	Desde diferentes matices se advierte que la cultura wayuu abandera la defensa de la tradición de valores morales, espirituales y éticos, transmitidos de generación en generación por ancianos y tíos. Es por ello que todas las realidades culturales poseen un contenido simbólico formalizado. Cada pueblo posee un modo determinado de formalizar la realidad, expresada en la lengua, vestido y religión. A nivel social la familia wayuu posee una estructura compleja: mantiene un carácter matrilineal y clánica, conservan su propio territorio y animal totémico, persiste la autoridad tradicional, existe una forma específica de administrar justicia, caracterizada por la figura del Palabrero (Putchipu), reconocida por la UNESCO como patrimonio inmaterial de la humanidad. Al ser estos últimos portadores de la palabra ayudan a resolver conflictos entre los clanes. Al interior de la familia Wayuu la autoridad se encuentra representada por el tío materno, quien interviene en los problemas familiares y domésticos. Al interior de la familia la mujer juega un papel relevante: es la conductora y organizadora del clan. Ellas son políticamente muy activas en su sociedad, son independientes en la toma de decisiones que atañen a su cultura. Sin embargo, esta comunidad hoy se encuentra amenazada por la proliferación de factores de alto riesgo sociocultural.	es-ES
