| dc.description | English around the world has been considered as the most useful language, so many educational institutions integrate it into the curriculum. When to talk about English as a foreign language, it refers about a language learning, which is different off the mother tongue, which is also not the language used in the students ́ daily life where they do their activities ( Mei , 2008). The process of learning English as a foreign language usually occurs within the classroom, where different types of controlled activities are carried out. Although this process occurs mostly in the educational environment, students can achieve a high degree of English language development. (Colombia ́s National Ministry of Education, 2006). So, the student has the opportunity to develop English language learning only during their training, when they are in educational institutions, and rarely in other types of activities, so, it sometimes limits in certain occasions that the student can finally be able to communicate in this language, in fact they reduce the language practice outside the classroom. | en-US |
| dc.description | El Inglés ha sido considerado como el idioma de mayor uso en el mundo, por lo que muchas instituciones educativas lo integran en el currículo. Al hablar del Inglés como idioma extranjero se hace referencia al aprendizaje de un idioma diferente al de la lengua materna, y que además no es el que se emplea en la vida cotidiana del estudiante y el medio en el cual desarrolla sus actividades (Mei, 2008). El proceso de aprendizaje del Inglés como lengua extranjera generalmente se da dentro del aula de clase, lugar en el cual se realizan diferentes actividades de tipo controladas. A pesar de que este proceso se da en su mayor parte en el ámbito educativo, los estudiantes pueden alcanzar un alto grado de desarrollo del idioma Inglés. (Ministerio de Educación Nacional República de Colombia, 2006). Es decir, que el estudiante tiene la oportunidad de desarrollar el aprendizaje del idioma Inglés únicamente durante su formación, cuando se encuentran en las instituciones educativas, y escasamente en otro tipo de actividades, limitando en ciertas ocasiones que el estudiante pueda finalmente ser capaz de comunicarse en este idioma, dado que se reducen el número de veces de la práctica del idioma fuera del aula de clase. | es-ES |
