| dc.description | En los últimos años las redes sociales han pasado de ser un medio para mejorar la comunicación a provocar un impacto negativo en muchos de los estudiantes. Actualmente la tecnología es uno de los medios de mayor influencia en el escenario social. Ahora es muy común encontrar a un estudiante sumergido en el mundo del internet, debido a que los jóvenes manejan a la perfección las redes sociales, porque les permite realizar una variedad de actividades, tales como: subir fotografías, poner un estado, subir videos, relacionarse con otras personas, hacer comentarios sobre cualquier tema, etc.. El estudiante no aprovecha los grandes beneficios que estos medios le pueden brindar, con relación a su aprendizaje, dejándose llevar por lo novedoso del momento, por el gran avance de la tecnología, de tal manera que esto se vuelve parte de su vida diaria, permitiendo al estudiante estar comunicado las 24 horas del día, debido que cuenta con un sistema de mensajería instantánea. El objetivo de este artículo es determinar el nivel de influencia de las redes sociales en los estudiantes de la Universidad Técnica de Cotopaxi, analizando qué tanto absorben tiempo del estudiante en el ámbito académico, para conocer si el uso de las redes sociales son favorables o destructivas para éste, y generar conciencia en losjóvenes sobre las ventajas y desventajas de las redes sociales, los diversos riesgos como el de proporcionar información privada a extraños. De esta manera se espera que los docentes puedan conversar con los estudiantes acerca del correcto uso de las redes sociales. | es-ES |
