dc.description	The research is part of what should be the university and its role in the teaching-learning process in which knowledge is generated and fostered to create new knowledge. In this framework, two modes of training in research coexist, on one hand, the research training and on the other the formative research. This paper is a conceptual study of these two modes of conceiving the training in research, to understand their scope and complementarity in generating investigative skills and attitudes that enable a holistic development for students and professors, within and outside the university. Considering as common elements of both, the words education and research as an engine of development.	en-US
dc.description	La investigación hace parte del deber ser de la universidad y su función dentro del proceso enseñanza-aprendizaje bajo el cual se generan saberes y se propicia la aprehensión de otros para generar nuevos conocimientos. En este marco, conviven dos modalidades de formación investigativa. Por un lado, la formación para la investigación, y por el otro la investigación formativa. El presente texto aborda un estudio de ambas de manera conceptual para comprender su alcance así como complementariedad a la hora de generar habilidades y actitudes investigativas que permitan un desarrollo integral tanto para los estudiantes como para el docente, dentro y fuera de la universidad. Teniendo en cuenta como elementos comunes de ambas las palabras formación e investigación como motor de desarrollo.	es-ES
