| dc.description | The experience of the Other’s event, so far from understanding, weakens the idea of power, of permanence, of what returns home intact, despite all experiences. The original experience of alterity produces an affection that is not destined to designate a word that could apprehend it. In this way, the production that the Other makes in me is an ontological fact, a novelty in the being, where what it was before is discarded from its permanence and is moved, modified, forcing it to step out, to leave the room of the same in its same. Otherness is the condition of the Other to remain the Other to me. This had already been seen by Cicero and St. Augustine, the same for Plato and recently Levinas. They have taught us that alterity is the condition of permanence of otherness and, as the sign of a foreign being, it is necessary to think how its strangeness remains despite the efforts of the ego to dominate it. In the following lines we will review how these conceptions have already permeated philosophical thought since antiquity and what are the things that should support any pedagogy that takes as a starting point the problems of alterity. | en-US |
| dc.description | La experiencia del acontecimiento del Otro, tan lejana a la comprensión, debilita la idea de poder, de permanencia, de lo que vuelve a casa intacto, a pesar de todas las experiencias. La experiencia originaria de la alteridad produce un afecto que no está destinado a designar una palabra que pudiera aprehenderlo. De este modo, la producción que el Otro lleva a cabo en mí es un hecho ontológico, una novedad en el ser, donde lo que antes era se desdice de su permanencia y se conmueve, se modifica, obligando a dar un paso hacia fuera, a salir de la estancia de lo mismo en su mismidad. La alteridad es la condición del Otro de seguir siendo el Otro para mí. Esto ya lo había visto Cicerón y San Agustín, lo mismo para Platón y hace poco Levinas. Ellos nos han enseñado que la alteridad es la condición de permanencia de la otredad y que, en tanto que la muestra de un ser extranjero, es necesario pensar cómo permanece su extrañeza a pesar de los esfuerzos del yo por dominarla. En lo que sigue revisaremos cómo estas concepciones ya han permeado el pensamiento filosófico desde la antigüedad y qué es lo que debe sostener cualquier pedagogía que tome como punto de partida los problemas de la alteridad. | es-ES |
