| dc.description | La unidad del pensamiento crítico o del espíritu general que animó el nacimiento de la universidad moderna, se resquebrajó ante la cada vez más marcada división del conocimiento en disciplinas y profesiones, que generaron escuelas, facultades o departamentos inconexos entre sí. Surge, en consecuencia, el predominio de la universidad funcional y profesionalizante, la cual es validada por su capacidad de respuesta a las exigencias de la empresa, el mercado y el desarrollo científico y tecnológico de los países y regiones en un mundo global. Ante lo anterior, y en el contexto de las urgencias de la universidad latinoamericana, colombiana y regional, se desarrollan dos aspectos: la necesidad de retomar el “espíritu universal”, donde se concilien una multiplicidad de lenguajes y racionalidades sin perjuicio de la función social del conocimiento; y el fortalecimiento del factor cultural desde el uso de lenguajes dialécticos e implicatorios que permitan superar las dicotomías entre lo global y lo local, lo ideal y lo funcional, lo científico tecnológico y lo humanístico, la independencia crítica y el compromiso social. | es-ES |
| dc.description | The unity of critical thought or general spirit that encouraged the birth of the modern university was split facing the growing division of knowledge in areas and professions which generated colleges, faculties or departments not related among them. Consequently, this resulted in the prevalence of the functional and professionalizing university which is validated for its reaction to the requirements of the enterprise, the market and scientific and technological knowledge of countries and regions in the global world. Facing this situation, and in the context of the need of the Latin-American, Colombian and regional universities two aspects are developed: the necessity to reconsider the “universal spirit”, where a multiplicity of languages and rationalities are reconciled without sacrificing the social function of knowledge; and the strengthening of cultural factors from the use of dialectic and compromising languages which are able to overcome the dichotomies between the global and the local, the ideal and the functional, the technological scientific and the humanistic aspects, to the critical independence and the social commitment. | en-US |
