dc.description	La presente ponencia aborda el caso de la Masacre de Mapiripán, iniciada el 12 de julio de 1997, y concluida el 20 de julio del mismo año; masacre que ha sido una de las más recor-dadas en la historia del conicto de guerra en Colombia, convirtiéndose en una violación sin precedente a los derechos humanos. El trabajo se orienta a revisar los antecedentes históricos, y analizar la responsabilidad ética y jurídica del Estado Colombiano frente a esos hechos. En conclusión los principios del Estado Social de derecho en el caso estudiado son letra muerta a la luz del Derecho Internacional, el Estado Colombiano debe continuar en su lucha por la sal-vaguarda de derechos, porque detrás del conicto armado hay una sociedad que pierde todo.
dc.description	The investigation approached the case of the massacre of Mapiripán, which begun the 12th of July of 1997 and concluded on July 20th of the same year; massacre that has been one of the most remembered in the history of the war conict in Colombia, becoming an unpre-cedented violation to the human rights. The work aims to review the historical backgrounds and analizing the ethical and legal responsibility of the Colombian Rule of Law towards those facts. To conclude, the principles of the Social Rule of Law in the studied case are dead letters in the light of the International Right, the Colombian Rule of Law must continue its fight for safeguarding the rights, because behind the armed conict there’s society that loses everything
