| dc.description | In ancient Greece, education was influenced by the events of everyday life, which were divided between the polis and war. In the middle of this tension one would find the virtues of the warrior and the citizen; the former being framed by military service, the latter by political service. Socrates’s teaching will however be a roadblock for this kind of education: he aims to change the paradigm of what is virtue, which were the virtues and how they could be actually taught. | dc.description | En la Grecia antigua la educación estaba atravesada por los diferentes hechos de la vida cotidiana, divididos entre la polis y la guerra. En medio de esta tensión, se encontraban las virtudes del guerrero y las del ciudadano, las primeras enmarcadas al servicio militar y las segundas al servicio político. Empero, Sócrates se convierte en una piedra en el camino de este tipo de educación, pues pretende cambiar el paradigma de lo que era la virtud, cuales eran las virtudes o si realmente podían ser enseñadas. ¿Cuál era entonces la educación a la que Sócrates se opinía? | es-ES |
