| dc.description | La relación entre el desarrollo económico y la naturaleza tomó un giro sustantivo en el capitalismo industrial. Desde los años setenta del pasado siglo, la problemática del deterioro y contaminación ambiental, sus efectos en el cambio climático y la constatación de que los recursos naturales son finitos, limitados y no renovables, impulsaron estudios, debates y movimientos de protesta social, tendientes a replantear el modelo vigente de desarrollo. Con el giro progresista en buena parte de América del Sur, se pone en discusión nuevamente el camino del desarrollo, las implicancias del actual, su conflictividad y las posibles alternativas. En este entorno de controversias, proposiciones y análisis, el tema central de este número de Ecuador Debate, dedicado a los conflictos del extractivismo, espera propiciar cuestiones que coadyuven al conocimiento acerca de las características que están adoptando los conflictos entre una necesidad creciente de los Estados por disponer de recursos para sus programas de inversión y unas poblaciones opuestas a la implantación de actividades extractivas en sus territorios. | |
| dc.description | The relationship between economic development and nature took a substantive turn in industrial capitalism. From the seventies of the last century, the problem of deterioration and contamination of the environment, its impact on climate change and the fact that natural resources are finite, limited and non-renewable pushed studies, debates and movement of social protest, to rethink the current model of development. With the progressive shift in much of South America, is put into discussion again the path of development, the implications of the current, its conflict and possible alternatives. The theme of this issue of Ecuador Debate, dedicated to the extraction, conflicts expected in this dispute, propositions and analysis environment, promote issues that contribute to the knowledge of the characteristics that are adopting conflicts between a growing need for States to provide resources for its investment programs and some people opposed to the introduction of extractive activities in their territories. | |
