dc.description	The article seeks to understand the changes in the role of women in US society, considering the impact of the feminist movement and World War II. Our approach centers on a historical analysis and feminist theory of International Relations, witha focus on the field of defense andinternational security. We concludethat the active participation of womenin society has enabled their entry intoenvironments previously marked bythe male figure.	en-US
dc.description	O artigo busca compreender as mudanças no papel da mulher na sociedade estadunidense,considerando o impacto do movimento feminista e da Segunda Guerra Mundial. Nossa abordagem centra-se em uma análise histórica e na teoria feminista das Relações Internacionais, com enfoque no campo da defesa e segurança internacional. Conclui-se que a participação ativa das mulheres na sociedade possibilitou seu ingresso em ambientes anteriormente marcados pela figura masculina.	pt-BR
