dc.description	This paper argues that discursive representation in the media of so-called Third World immigrants in Spain has facilitated the reconstruction of a national identity, in terms of “us” (Spaniards) versus “them” (Third World immigrants) at the turn of the 21st century. In this fashion, Spaniards are discursivelyrepresented as the insiders or the ones who belong to the nation, while socalled Third World immigrants are the outsiders/strangers or excluded people.	en-US
dc.description	Este artigo argumenta que a representação discursiva na mídia dos chamados imigrantes do Terceiro Mundo na Espanha tem facilitado a reconstrução de uma identidade nacional em termos de “nós” (espanhóis) versus “eles” (imigrantes do Terceiro Mundo) na virada do século XXI. Desta maneira, os espanhóis são representados como os de dentro (insiders) ou aqueles que pertencem à nação, enquanto os chamados imigrantes do Terceiro Mundo são os forasteiros/estrangeiros (outsiders) ou os excluídos	pt-BR
