dc.description	Nigeria, throughout the 1970s, reached considerable autonomy and assumed a leading role in both its region and in the African continent. In the next decade, the country became aligned with the interests of the Western powers and lost ground in the world scene. This work analyzes the relationship between oil and Nigerian foreign policy from an international political economy approach.	en-US
