dc.description	For Pruitt and Carnevale (1993), negotiation is a discussion between two or more parties that wish to resolve incompatible interests. From this definition it follows that the negotiation process has its raison d'être from the moment the parties want to prolong the relationship that has precisely led them to the conflict situation. If the conflict situation did not exist, there would be no reason to be the negotiation process.	en-US
