| dc.description | Yuhknoˀm Yihch’aak K’ahk’ (686-697 AD) was a member of the Kaanuˀl dynasty and one of the most important Maya personages of the Late Classic period. Archaeologists suggest he was buried in Tomb 4 of Calakmul, Substructure IIB. The purpose of this article is to analyze and interpret the entire offering of tomb vessels, fourteen pieces in total, their images, text, function, and arrangement. I conclude that the tomb belongs to Yuhknoˀm Yihch’aak K’ahk’, who was accompanied by objects from his father to commemorate and eternalize together. This research interprets the vessels as a mortuary offering, proposes a possible meaning and corroborates the identity of the owner of the tomb. | en-US |
| dc.description | En la Tumba 4 de la Subestructura IIB de Calakmul, los arqueólogos propusieron que se enterró al gobernante de esta ciudad Yuhknoˀm Yihch’aak K’ahk’ (686-697 d.C.) quien fue miembro de la dinastía Kaanuˀl y uno de los personajes más importantes del periodo Clásico Tardío maya. El objetivo de esta investigación es analizar e interpretar toda la ofrenda de vasijas de la tumba, 14 piezas en total, para lo cual se tomarán en cuenta sus imágenes, su texto, su función y su disposición en el entierro. Tomando en cuenta estos aspectos se concluye que la tumba efectivamente pertenece a este gobernante quien a la vez se hizo acompañar de objetos de su padre para conmemorarlo y eternizarse juntos. | es-ES |
