dc.description	This paper discusses several features of Sallani’s social organization, a shepherd people from Southern Peru (Cuzco). Starting from the point of view of agnatic groups in contexts in which kinship relationships are ruled by bilateral criteria, the paper deals with the presence of alternative groupings to those which have been commonly described for shepherd populations in Central and Southern Peru. In order to answer the questions posed by both sets of problems, genealogical information is linked with unpublished census from 19th century kept in local archives, allowing to propose an interpretation of a contemporary shepherd people’s social organization in the longue durée.	en-US
dc.description	Este trabajo discute algunos aspectos de la organización social del pueblo de pastores de Sallani (Cuzco, Perú) desde la perspectiva que propone la presencia de agrupaciones agnaticias en ámbitos en los que las relaciones de parentesco se rigen mediante criterios bilaterales, así como también la presencia de agrupaciones alternativas a aquellas que han sido objeto de generalización para el caso de sociedades de pastores del centro y sur peruanos. Con miras a responder las preguntas que plantean ambos problemas se relaciona la información procedente del registro etnográfico (genealógico) con fuentes censales decimonónicas inéditas conservadas en archivos locales. Esto permite, a su vez, proponer una lectura de la organización social de un pueblo de pastores contemporáneo en la larga duración.	es-ES
