dc.description	Wichi women weave different kinds of textiles and make eartherware pots which are distributed and used in the central-western Chaco scene of inter-ethnic relationships. This study tries to explore how this domain of the Wichi s material culture is related to the definition of ethnic categories. In order to classify artifacts into morphological categories, it is assumed that artifacts are social action imbued in the matter and their production processes are analysed.After this, the Wichi point of view about the multi-ethnic landscape is described and it is sketched how the morphological categories are produced, distributed and used according to different patterns through this ethnic landscape. As a result, it is hold that artifacts are not only instruments, commodities and aesthetic objects, but also a language that takes part in the creation, recreation and, eventually, confrontation of the ethnic relationships in which the Wichi are involved.	en-US
dc.description	Las mujeres wichís tejen muchas formas textiles y modelan algunos cacharros que son distribuidos y usados en el escenario interétnico del Chaco centro-occidental. Este trabajo intenta explorar cómo esta parcela de la cultura material wichí se relaciona con la definición de categorías étnicas. Con este fin, después de asumir que los artefactos son acción social imbuida en la materia, se analiza su proceso de producción y se los clasifica en categorías morfológicas. Seguidamente, se esboza el paisaje multiétnico regional tal como es concebido por los wichís y se describen los distintos patrones de producción, circulación y uso de las categorías morfológicas a través de este paisaje. Como resultado, se sostiene que los artefactos en cuestión, además de ser instrumentos, mercancías y objetos estético, son un lenguaje que desempeña un papel en la creación, recreación y eventual confrontación de relaciones interétnicas en las que los wichís están involucrados.	es-ES
