dc.description	This paper analyzes the cultural and historical processes undergone by the Mocoví Indians of the province of Santa Fe, in their relationship with diverse agents of mainstream society in the 20th century. The focus is on the practice of invisibilization of their ethnic identity since the beginning of the century, analyzing their relations with the political strategies of resistance that preceded them and those that followed: the political and religious millenarian movement in San Javier, 1904, and the process of "identification” and ethnic political organization from the mid-1980s on. The concealment of identity was not simply just a consequence of the colonial and post-colonial policies of domination of passive or defeated agents, but a "tactic” adopted by the Mocoví to redirect a situation of domination and hegemony. Finally, I sustain that the politics of resistance cannot be understood merely as a response to specific scenarios imposed by hegemonic groups, but are also the result of the cultural and historical experience of the actors, and most particularly, of their fragmented and concealed tactics of resistance, carried out in their daily practices and also in their ritual spaces.	en-US
dc.description	En este trabajo, se estudian los procesos histórico-culturales de los mocoví santafesinos en sus vínculos con diversos agentes de la sociedad mayor durante el siglo XX. Me centro en las prácticas de invisibilización de la identidad étnica iniciadas por los mocoví a principios de siglo, analizando sus relaciones con las estrategias políticas de resistencia que las antecedieron y siguieron: el movimiento político-religioso milenarista de San Javier en 1904 y el proceso de "identificación" y organización política en términos étnicos, iniciado a mediados de la década de 1980. Mi hipótesis es que las prácticas de invisibilización de la propia identidad no fueron una mera consecuencia de las políticas de dominación colonial y postcolonial sobre agentes pasivos o vencidos, sino que constituyeron "tácticas" ensayadas por los mocoví, muchas veces concientemente, para redireccionar situaciones de dominación y hegemonía. Asimismo, planteo que las mencionadas estrategias políticas de resistencia, tampoco podrían entenderse solamente como respuestas ante coyunturas específicas impuestas por los grupos hegemónicos, sino que también son el producto de las experiencias histórico-culturales de los propios actores y, especialmente, de sus fragmentarias y encubiertas tácticas de resistencia, ejercidas en las prácticas cotidianas y también en los espacios rituales.	es-ES
