dc.description	This article deals with cooperation and friendship agreements as a mechanism for learning, exchange and mobility of urban planning models between cities of North and global South. It analyzes the relations maintained by Medellín and Barcelona during the last two decades. First, the article traces the different forms of cooperation and solidarity between these cities, with their main milestones, agendas and actors involved. Second, identify the learning process in each city, emphasizing the features of the Barcelona model present in the recent transformation of Medellin. The paper reveals how those cooperation relations have contributed to the Medellín recognition as an urban reference in the international arena and at the same time to redefine the circulation flows of urban policies.	en-US
dc.description	Este artículo aborda los acuerdos de cooperación y amistad como mecanismo para el aprendizaje, intercambio y movilidad de modelos de planeamiento urbano entre ciudades del Norte y Sur global. El artículo analiza las relaciones que han mantenido Medellín y Barcelona durante las dos últimas décadas. De una parte, se establece la evolución de las diferentes formas de cooperación y solidaridad entre estas ciudades, con sus principales hitos, agendas y actores involucrados. Y de otra, se identifican los aprendizajes de cada una, haciendo énfasis en los rasgos del modelo barcelonés presentes en la transformación reciente de Medellín. El trabajo muestra cómo las relaciones entre las dos ciudades, han contribuido a posicionar a Medellín como referente urbano a nivel internacional y al mismo tiempo a redefinir los flujos de circulación de las políticas urbanas.	es-ES
