dc.description	This essay analyses the modes for producing waste spaces in pieces of art conceived in the nineties and thereon. For this purpose, I propose an analysis from three different perspectives: the ways in which garbage dumps are represented; the tension relating to their materiality, their consumption and their spatiality; and the relation between aesthetization of garbage and “garbaging” of art. Entering into dialogue with some of the theoretical approaches on garbage, this essay points out a transition from an aesthetics of separation to one of contamination, in which a dislocation and an incontinence occur. Waste dumps have ceased to be those spaces in which garbage is put away from social and aesthetic life; they have become contagious and expansive territories.	en-US
dc.description	El ensayo analiza los modos de producción de espacios de desechos en una serie de obras producidas a partir de la década del noventa. Para ello propongo un examen a partir de tres ejes diferentes: los modos de representación de los vertederos, la puesta en tensión con sus respectivas materialidades, el territorio de producción y consumo y, por último, los vínculos entre “estetización de la basura” y “basurización del arte”. En diálogo con algunas de las propuestas teóricas en torno a la basura, el ensayo advierte el paso de una estética de la separación a una de la contaminación, en la que se da una dislocación y una incontinencia. Aquí, los vertederos han dejado de ser los espacios donde la basura se pone a distancia de la vida social y estética, para convertirse en territorios contagiosos y expansivos.	es-ES
