dc.description	The socialist internationalism arises in the late nineteenth century as an innovative phenomenon for the deployment of a sustained response to the rise of militarism and the “new religion” of patriotism. This debate will have an impact on the Argentine socialism, questioned by the border conflict between Argentina and Chile. The 1890s witness a bellicose escalation and mobilization of various sectors of Argentine society and politics, surmountedby the sanction of compulsory military service in 1901. This work thus focuses on two aspects: on one hand, the reception of the debates of the Second International by the rising Argentine socialism; and on the other hand, the forms of antimilitarism intervention that will shape the profile of the Socialist Party in Argentina.	en-US
dc.description	El internacionalismo socialista se erigió a fines del siglo xix en un fenómeno innovador por el despliegue de una sostenida respuesta frente al militarismo y al auge de la ‘nueva religión’ patriótica. Este debate tendrá su impacto en el socialismo argentino, interpelado por el conflicto limítrofe entre Argentina y Chile. La década de 1890 presenciará una escalada belicista y la movilización de distintos sectores de la sociedad y la política argentinas, coronadas por la sanción del servicio militar obligatorio en 1901. El trabajo se enfoca así en dos aspectos: por un lado, la recepción en el naciente socialismo argentino de los debates de la II Internacional; por otro lado, las formas de intervención del antimilitarismo que irán moldeando el perfil del Partido Socialista en Argentina.	es-ES
