dc.description	This work investigates how some social processes which happened during the deepening of neoliberalism in the 90s are narrated. The tales “El fin de la palabrística” and “Cuando aparecen Aquéllos” (Los acuáticos 2001) by Marcelo Cohen, are analysed paying attention to two main questions. Firstly, the building of urban space, frontiers and tensions between global interconnectivity and the isolation of excluded sectors. Secondly, the configuration of how impoverishment was experienced and how the social and cultural other was perceived. Lastly, it proposes an interpretation of the fantastic as a metamorphosis law which operates from spatial disintegration in imaginary territories and the time projection in a futuristic landscape. These fantastic mutations allow the appearance/vision of shared experience amid the implausible.	en-US
dc.description	El trabajo indaga los modos de narrar algunos procesos sociales acontecidos durante la profundización del neoliberalismo en la Argentina de los años noventa. Se analizan los cuentos “El fin de la palabrística” y “Cuando aparecen Aquéllos” (Los acuáticos 2001) de Marcelo Cohen atendiendo a dos cuestiones fundamentales. En primer lugar, la construcción del espacio urbano, de las fronteras y de las tensiones entre la interconectividad global y el aislamiento de sectores excluidos. En segundo lugar, la configuración de la experiencia de empobrecimiento y de la percepción del otro cultural y social. Por último, se propone una interpretación de lo fantástico como ley de la metamorfosis que opera a partir de la disgregación espacial en territorios imaginarios y la proyección temporal en un paisaje futurista. Estas mutaciones fantásticas permiten la aparición/visión de la experiencia compartida, en medio de lo inverosímil.	es-ES
