dc.description	Considerando los estudios recientes sobre viajes periodísticos y la construcción de la nación argentina, este artículo examina el perfil de un reportero menos estudiado, el periodista inmigrante. Se analizan dos crónicas de viajes sobre la Patagonia publicadas en Buenos Aires en 1898: Ein Ausflug nach dem Chubut-Territorium [Una excursión al territorio de Chubut] del periodista suizo Teodoro Alemann, publicada en el periódico alemán Argentinisches Tageblatt [Diario Argentino], y La australia argentina del argentino Roberto J. Payró aparecida en La Nación. La narración del viaje a la Patagonia en ambas crónicas es interrumpida en un momento clave por el relato de un sueño sobre el porvenir de la zona. Este trabajo demuestra que dicha digresión onírica revela intereses políticos y económicos opuestos al proyecto oficial argentino de desarrollo de la región, el papel de los inmigrantes y su relación con potencias europeas.AbstractTaking into account recent studies on journalistic travel and Argentine nation building, this article examines the profile of a type of reporter that has been studied to a lesser degree, the immigrant journalist. It analyzes two travel chronicles about Patagonia published in Buenos Aires in 1898: Ein Ausflug nach dem Chubut-Territorium [An Excursion to the Chubut Territory] by Swiss journalist Theodor Alemann, published in the German-language newspaper Argentinisches Tageblatt [Argentine Daily], and La australia argentina, by Roberto J. Payró which appeared in La Nación. In both chronicles the narration of the trip to Patagonia is interrupted at a key moment by the telling of a dream regarding the future of the region. This essay demonstrates that these oneiric digressions reveal political and economic interests contrary to the official Argentine plans for the development of the region, the role of immigrants and their relationship with European powers.	es-ES
