dc.description	Resumo A trajetória do intelectual brasileiro Alceu Amoroso Lima (1893-1983) foi caracterizada por sua transformação de registro católico – de um modelo que reagia à modernidade a outro mais plural, em diálogo com o século. Passagem bem conhecida e, paradoxalmente, pouco trabalhada por seus biógrafos. Neste sentido, este texto pretende ilustrar como o mencionado autor tentou organizar seus câmbios eclesiológico e político, disciplinando a si mesmo e controlando os riscos de suas transformações, por intermédio de especial leitura da espiritualidade e de algumas das tradicionais práticas católicas. Abstract The trajectory of the Brazilian intellectual Alceu Amoroso Lima (1893-1983) was characterized by the transformation of his Catholic identity – shift that leaded him from a reactive model of faith to a progressive and pluralistic ecclesiology. This shift is well known by Amoroso Lima’s biographers but, paradoxically, it has not been analyzed in detail by them. Therefore this text aims to illustrate how the mentioned author built up a quite personal interpretation of Catholic spirituality and some of its traditional practices in order to organize and control the risks of his own religious and political changes.	es-ES
