| dc.description | El cuerpo es uno de los motivos más recurrentes en la narrativa del escritor cubano Virgilio Piñera (1912-1979). En este trabajo se realiza un análisis de su configuración en la novela La carne de René (1952). Como punto de partida, se distinguen dos frentes de asedio al cuerpo del protagonista. Por un lado, quienes desean "corromper" su fisicidad desde el placer –pues René quiere que su cuerpo permanezca incólume– y por otro, quienes quieren modificar su corporalidad desde la agresión física, mediante el uso de crueles métodos que violentan y llagan el cuerpo, con el fin de rendirle culto al dolor. Para reforzar mi análisis, me apoyo en algunas nociones sobre el cuerpo propuestas por Jean-Luc Nancy, quien reflexiona el cuerpo como un límite de sentido, y por Gilles Deleuze, quien profundiza sobre el "cuerpo sin órganos". Abstract The body is one of the most common motifs in the narration of the Cuban writer Virgilio Piñera (1912-1979). This paper analyses its configuration in the novel La carne de René (1952). As a starting, point two approaches to the protagonist’s body are distinguished. First, there are those who want to "corrupt" its physicality for pleasure – however René wants his body to remain intact – and second, there are those who want to modify its corporeality from physical aggression by using cruel methods that violate and wound the body, with the aim of worshipping the pain. To reinforce my analysis, I rely on some notions of the body that were carried out by Jean-Luc Nancy who sees the body as a limit of senses and Gilles Deleuze who elaborates on the "body without organs". | es-ES |
