dc.description	Durante gran parte del siglo XX, la fotografía en el área de la investigación de las ciencias sociales y humanidades, fue utilizada sólo para ilustrar y evidenciar el trabajo de campo, es decir, la fotografía se usaba como apoyo visual. Con el paso de los años comenzó a considerarse como fuente principal de investigación para analizar e interpretar fenómenos sociales desde diferentes perspectivas disciplinarias. A partir de un corpus visual seleccionado de álbumes familiares de una familia italomexicana de la localidad de Chipilo de Francisco Javier Mina en el estado de Puebla en México, el presente trabajo muestra el análisis e interpretación dichas fotografías mediante el uso de la semiótica, basado en la propuesta de Silva y Visa, para identificar la relevancia de la identidad y la importancia de los elementos de la vida cotidiana entre los pobladores de dicha población. A partir de las fotografías, se muestran las principales actividades de la vida cotidiana y la forma en que, mediante la recuperación de la memoria, se contribuye al fortalecimiento de la identidad, así como la identificación y la preservación del patrimonio cultural de los italomexicanos en México.	es-ES
dc.description	During much of the 20th century, photography in the area of social science and humanities research was used only to illustrate and demonstrate field work, that is, photography was used as visual support. Over the years it began to be considered as the main source of research to analyze and interpret social phenomena from different disciplinary perspectives. Based on a visual corpus selected from family albums of an Italian-Mexican family from the town of Chipilo de Francisco Javier Mina in the state of Puebla in Mexico, the present work shows the analysis and interpretation of these photographs through the use of semiotics, based on Silva and Visa’s proposal, to identify the relevance of identity and the importance of the elements of daily life among the inhabitants of said population. From the photographs, the main activities of daily life and the way in which, through the recovery of memory, contributes to the strengthening of identity as well as the identification and preservation of the cultural heritage of Italian-Mexicans in Mexico are shown.	en-US
