dc.description	El objetivo puntual del presente trabajo es delinear los principales rasgos que caracterizan a la labor de los miembros de la academia teniendo como eje de análisis su condición identitaria diferenciada y excéntrica respecto de las pautas de actividad habituales en el espacio societal. Siendo la esencia de dicha particularidad la aspiración a la exploración y trasmisión del conocimiento en sus distintas vertientes. Una aspiración inusual en el marco de la prevalencia del interés económico como aspiración dominante en las diversas ocupaciones profesionales. De ahí que el grupo social de los académicos sea un caso prototípico de la diversidad de necesidades presentes en el ser humano, y consecuentemente, de las creaciones sociales con las que éstas se procuran satisfacer, razón última de los contrapuntos existenciales que se han verificado en el decurso de la civilización.	es-ES
dc.description	The specific objective of the present work is to delineate the main features that characterize the work of the members of the academy, having as an axis of analysis their differentiated and eccentric identity condition with respect to the habitual patterns of activity in the societal space. Being the essence of this particularity the aspiration to the exploration and transmission of knowledge in its different aspects. An unusual aspiration in the framework of the prevalence of economic interest as a dominant aspiration in the various professional occupations. Hence, the social group of academics is a prototypical case of the diversity of needs present in the human being, and consequently, of the social creations with which they seek to satisfy, the ultimate reason for the existential counterpoints that have been verified in the course of civilization.	en-US
