dc.description	Los procesos educativos se han enriquecido con el uso de las tecnologías de información y comunicación (TIC), en la investigación, el intercambio de aprendizajes y la producción de materiales para socializar los conocimientos locales. Sin embargo, la desigualdad que existe en las comunidades rurales genera una brecha digital y por ende una brecha en la educación. Así mismo, algunos problemas identificados en la región de la sierra de Santa Marta, ubicada al sureste del estado de Veracruz, son la desvalorización del patrimonio biocultural y el desuso de las lenguas maternas. Desde su fundación, la Universidad Veracruzana Intercultural, ha hecho enormes esfuerzos por acortar esta brecha digital, promoviendo conocimientos y competencias digitales para el uso de las TIC, lo cual constituye una forma en que las y los estudiantes indígenas y afro-descendientes pueden ejercer sus derechos culturales, a través de la difusión de sus lenguas, tradiciones y saberes locales empíricos.	es-ES
dc.description	The educational processes has been enriched by the use of information and communication technologies (ICT), in research, the exchange of learning and the production of materials to socialize local knowledge. However, the inequality that exists in rural communities generates a digital gap and therefore a digital division in education. Likewise, some problems identified in the region of the Sierra de Santa Marta, located in the southeast of the state of Veracruz, are the loss of the biocultural heritage and the disuse of the mother tongues. Since its founding, the Universidad Veracruzana Intercultural has made enormous efforts to shorten this digital gap, promoting digital knowledge and skills for the use of ICT, which is a way in which indigenous and afro-descendent students can exert their cultural rights, through the spread of their local languages, traditions and empirical knowledge.	en-US
