The interdisciplinary intellectual tradition in contexts of education, production of intelligibility and social criticism: from the origins to the present in Latin America

dc.description	The roles of the interdisciplinary epistemological perspective in the creation of methodologies, conceptions and styles of approaching educational, scientific and social critique issues have been considered. Specifically, the historical and conceptual background of the ways in which this conception has influenced the development of a “European intellectual tradition” that includes models for an integral human formation, the production, organization and unification of knowledge, as well as the criticism of contemporary capitalist society, is analyzed. The role of this perspective in the development of a “Latin American intellectual tradition” that includes: (i) studies on the role of science and technology upon the achievement of an autonomous national development of Latin America, published in the years of the 1960 and 1970 decades; and, (ii) the impulse that various scholars and academic institutions have offered since then to the epistemological development of the interdisciplinary approach, and its applications to social-economic-political-environmental problems, is considered.	en-US
dc.description	Se estudia el rol de la perspectiva epistemológica interdisciplinaria, en la creación de metodologías, concepciones y estilos de abordaje en proyectos educativos, científicos y de crítica social. Se analizan los antecedentes histórico-conceptuales de las formas en que esta concepción ha influido en el desarrollo de una “tradición intelectual europea” que incluye modelos integradores de la formación humana, la producción y la organización del conocimiento, la unificación en el campo de los saberes y la crítica de la sociedad capitalista contemporánea. Se analiza también el rol de esta perspectiva en el desarrollo de una “tradición intelectual latinoamericana”, que incluye: (i) las producciones de los años ’60 y ’70 del siglo XX, sobre el rol de la ciencia y la tecnología en el desarrollo nacional autónomo de América Latina; y, (ii) el impulso que diversos pensadores e instituciones académicas brindan desde entonces al abordaje interdisciplinario de problemáticas epistemológicas y socio-económico-político-ambientales.	es-ES
