This article intends to carry out a reflective exercise on the participation of parents in the processes of teaching their children‘s preschool education. For this purpose, the role and fundamental functions of parents in the adaptation of children in the school context, their articulation, and recognition as the first educators of their sons and daughters and consequently the positive impact they have on the early and initial quality education in the processes of development and learning. It reflects on the problems that concern the parents and their participative support in the formation of their children of preschool. In this sense, the seminar is proposed as a pedagogical strategy to support this important work.    Con el presente artículo se pretende realizar un ejercicio reflexivo sobre la participación de los padres de familia en los procesos de enseñanza aprendizaje de sus hijos en el grado preescolar. Para tal efecto, se argumenta el papel y funciones fundamentales que tienen los padres de familia en la adaptación de los hijos en el contexto escolar, su articulación y reconocimiento como los primeros educadores de sus hijos e hijas y por consiguiente la incidencia positiva que tienen en la educación temprana e inicial de calidad en los procesos de desarrollo y aprendizaje. Se reflexiona sobre los problemas que conciernen a los padres y su apoyo participativo en la formación de sus hijos de preescolar. En este sentido, se propone el seminario como una estrategia pedagógica para apoyar esta importante labor.
