The objective of this article is to analyze how the idea of centrality of the oppressed, originally proposed by Marx and Engels in the 19th century, is still valid to analyze the process of constituting the oppressed in theoretical terms. In addition, the influence of this idea on centrality has reached indigenous self-styled intellectuals such as Fausto Reinaga, who represents the importance of debate in Latin American countries, where, the recovery of this idea comes to provide useful elements to explain the subjective dimension of the constitution. of the present subaltern in its multiple manifestations as it has happened with that of the 21st century in Latin America. The method used to perform the analysis contained in this article is based on the review of theoretical documentary sources, political documents and related texts on the subject.El objetivo de este artículo es analizar como la idea de centralidad del oprimido planteada originalmente por Marx y Engels, en el siglo XIX, es todavía vigente para analizar el proceso de constitución del oprimido en términos teóricos. Además, la influencia de esta idea sobre centralidad ha llegado a intelectuales autodenominados indios como Fausto Reinaga, quien representa la importancia del debate en países latinoamericanos, en donde, la recuperación de dicha idea llega a aportar elementos útiles para explicar la dimensión subjetiva de la constitución del subalterno actual en sus múltiples manifestaciones como ha sucedido con la del siglo XXI en América Latina. El método empleado para realizar el análisis contenido en este artículo es basado en la revisión de fuentes documentales teóricas, documentos políticos y textos relacionados sobre la temática.
