dc.description | The general objective of present research is to describe and inquire the relationship between the levels of Burnout Syndrome and perceived Stress in public locomotion officials of the city of Arica. The sample was made up of 130 collective taxi drivers, who represented 13 unions of this means of transport in Arica. The Work Burn Syndrome Assessment Questionnaire (CESQT) was used to determine burnout levels, and the Global Stress Perception Scale (EPGE) was used to address the presence/absence of stress; both instruments demonstrated adequate reliability andvalidity. The data was analyzed through descriptive statistics, and the results showed that in the four dimensions there are subjects in critical levels: 41.5% subjects are ‘disillusioned’, 53.1% are ‘psychologically worn out’ and 63.1% experience ‘indolence’. Age proved to be significant in the comparison of means between SQT and EPGE, where the dimensions of ‘psychically worn out’ and ‘indolence’ scored the highest, with drivers between 66 and 80 years, and between 51 and 65 years, respectively. | en-US |
