The extensive evidence recorded in the literature on violence suggests a close relationship between the experience of violence experienced by minors with the reproduction of this violence aggressively in later stages of development. In line with the above, the present study addresses intrafamily violence as an influential factor in the development and foundation of aggressive behaviors in the adolescent
population, in the classroom. In order to study these variables, two questionnaires
were validated for the Ecuadorian population (the revalidated translation of the “Aggression Questionnaire” and the questionnaire on “Bad Spousal Treatments”), which measure these two constructs. The results of the factor analyze reveal that in Ecuador there are different types of aggressiveness: one more observable and the other more self-perceived. Regarding violence, there is one that would correspond with social values, while another would be more related to the internal dynamism of the family. Regarding the content results, a positive and significant correlation between domestic violence and the two sub-dimensions of aggressiveness was revealed, which points to the possibility of two very different developments of this
problem in adolescents.
Antecedentes en la bibliografía relacionan la violencia vivida por los menores con su reproducción en forma de generación de agresividad. El presente estudio se centra en la violencia intrafamiliar como factor influyente en el desarrollo y cimentación de conductas agresivas en el aula en poblaciones adolescentes. Para el estudio de estas variables, han sido revalidados para la población ecuatoriana dos cuestionarios que miden estos dos constructos. Los resultados de los análisis factoriales desvelan que en Ecuador se diferencian entre distintos tipos de agresividad, una más observable y otra más autopercibida.
